SUBJECT : Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of its smartphone Redmi 1S in India. Priced at Rs. 5999, the 1S Redmi available through Flipkart September 2 record for the new smartphone starting today at 18:00. The most attractive part of the Xiaomi Redmi 1S is its price. The H1 Redmi will sell for Rs. Flipkart in 5999, surpassing the expectations of Rs. 6999 price tag. With such an attractive price tag, the Redmi Xiaomi 1S is in direct competition with the Motorola Moto E and Nokia Lumia 530 in terms of a low-end smartphone that offer tremendous value. Having said this, Xiaomi will have to rethink thier phone sales strategy in India. The limited action and online flash sales driven luck has been drawing a lot of criticism in India. The H1 Redmi in a low price point is expected to attract even more buyers compared to Redmi Xiaomi 1S.
The H1 Redmi Xiaomi smartphone is a dual SIM entry level. It has a 4.7 inch screen with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone sports a 8MP rear camera and 1.6MP front camera.
Based on Android 4.3, the Redmi H1 comes with an option for MIUI Lite mode called Superior Mode. The smartphone is powered by a 400 processor quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, along with 1 GB of RAM.
The H1 Redmi has 8GB internal, expandable memory via microSD. The smartphone is powered by a replaceable battery 2000 mAh. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi LE.
